Samsung Galaxy A11 Fingerprint Sensor Replacement
Step 1 | Back Cover
- Insert the SIM eject tool into the SIM tray hole.
- Continue pushing until a portion of the SIM tray protrudes.
- Pull the entire SIM tray out completely.
Step 2
Use a iFixit opening pick to gently pry near the SIM tray on the back cover.
- Pry along the gap and open the clips holding it together.
- For extra security, use multiple picks to prevent the back from closing.
Step 3
Use a hair dryer on low heat to warm the fingerprint sensor in 30-second increments.
- Pry the fingerprint sensor loose using gentle pressure.
- If required, remove the button by prying it from the device's bottom.
Step 4 | Battery
- Remove the three 3mm screws from the shield with a Phillips #000 screwdriver.
- Take out the shield from the phone.
Step 5
Disconnect the battery press connector using tweezers, a spudger, or your fingers.
Step 6
If The Battery Is Expanded, DO NOT USE A HAIRDRYER or heat; be very careful when removing.
- Apply low-heat hairdryer to soften adhesive under battery if necessary.
- Use an iFixit pry tool to dig under the battery edge.
- If needed, use multiple tools to hold battery in place while prying.
- Continue cutting adhesive until battery can be pried away from phone.
Be extremely careful not to puncture the expanded battery.
Step 7 | Fingerprint Sensor
Use a spudger to detach the ribbon cable connected to the fingerprint sensor.
- Fingerprint sensor: Carefully lift and remove it from the device.
