Samsung Galaxy A11 Earpiece Speaker Replacement

Disposing of a swollen battery can be hazardous.

  • Check if your battery is swollen by following the included guide.
  • Remove and recycle the battery before proceeding to prevent future hazards.

Do not attempt to remove or replace the earpiece speaker without first removing the battery for safety.

  • Turn off your phone and locate the earpiece speaker.
  • Your goal is to safely remove and replace the earpiece speaker in your Samsung Galaxy A11.

Step 1 | Back Cover

Insert SIM eject tool into the sim tray's hole.

  • Press until a portion of the sim tray is partially ejected.
  • Remove the rest of the sim tray.

Use an iFixit opening pick to gently pry open the SIM tray area on the back cover.

  • Gently move the pick along the gap and pry open the clips holding it together.
  • To keep the back cover from closing, try using multiple picks if possible.

Use a hair dryer on low heat to heat the fingerprint sensor in 30-second increments.

  • Loosen the surrounding adhesive with gentle heat application.
  • Gently push the fingerprint sensor away from the back cover until it detaches.
  • If still attached, use a tool to carefully pry the button loose from the bottom of the device.

Step 4 | Battery

Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the three 3 mm screws securing the shield.

  • Remove the shield from the phone.

  • Disconnect the battery press connector using tweezers, a spudger, or your own fingers.

Avoid using a hairdryer if the battery is expanded; instead, carefully remove it by hand.

  • Apply low-heat from a hairdryer to soften adhesive under the battery (if not expanded).
  • Use an iFixit pry tool to gently dig under the battery edge.
  • Hold the battery in place with multiple iFixit pry tools, if needed.
  • Continue cutting adhesive until the battery separates from the phone.
  • Remove the battery from the device.

Step 7 | Earpiece Speaker

Use tweezers to gently peel up the copper strip at the top right of the phone.

  • Remove the three 3 mm black screws using a Phillips #000 screwdriver.
  • Remove the speaker cover from the phone.

Remove the earpiece speaker at the top of the phone using tweezers.

Be gentle when handling metal tools to avoid damaging the device.

  • If stuck, use a hair dryer to apply heat and loosen the adhesive.
  • Orient the tweezers as needed (horizontally or vertically) for comfortable removal.
