Samsung Galaxy A10e Daughterboard Replacement

This procedure is for replacing the daughterboard, which houses the charge port and headphone jack.

Step 1 | SIM Card

Insert a SIM card eject tool, bit, or a straightened paperclip into the small hole in the SIM card tray.

Press firmly, but avoid bending the tray.

Step 2

Remove the SIM card tray from the phone.

  • The SIM card(s) and SD card will fall out of the tray easily.
  • When reinserting the tray:
    • Ensure the SIM card is in its correct slot.
    • Make sure the SD card is oriented correctly.

    For dual-SIM versions, place the SIM cards in their corresponding slots to avoid interrupting service on either line.

Step 3 | Back Cover

Locate the plastic clips holding the back cover in place.

  • Insert an opening pick between the screen and back cover, targeting the bottom where the charging port is located.

Insert the opening pick into the bottom left corner.

  • Apply gentle pressure to release the clips.

Step 5

Slide the opening pick along the left edge to the top left corner of the phone.

  • This action will release the clips.

Step 6

Insert the opening pick into the top left corner of the device and slide it horizontally to the top right corner.

  • This will help release the plastic clips.

  • Start at the top right corner and slide an opening pick down to the bottom right corner.
  • This will release any remaining clips holding the device in place.

Remove the back cover.

Step 9 | Motherboard Cover

Remove three Phillips #00 screws of 3mm length.

  • These screws hold the motherboard antenna cover in place.

Step 10

Remove the antenna cover with the tip of a spudger or tweezers.

Remove three screws, Phillips #00, each 3mm in length.

  • The screws are typically found on the edges of the motherboard cover.
  • Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove them securely.

Remove the motherboard cover with the tip of a spudger or tweezers.

Step 13 | Battery Disconnect

Remove the battery connector by prying the connector straight up with a spudger.

Step 14

Gently flex the battery connector away from its socket.

Step 15 | Daughterboard Cover

Remove the daughterboard cover screws.

  • Use a set of Phillips #00, 3mm long.
  • Remove all 7 screws.

Locate the plastic tab securing the top left corner of the daughterboard cover.

  • Lift the bottom of the daughterboard cover with a pair of tweezers, tilting it to approximately a 30-degree angle.
  • Pull the daughterboard cover straight out, away from the phone.

Step 17 | Interconnect Flex

Locate the interconnect flex connector and insert the flat end of a spudger underneath.

Gently lift the connector straight up.

Use tweezers to carefully remove one antenna connector.

Disconnect the antenna connector using tweezers.

Step 20

Remove the screw from the daughterboard using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, approximately 2mm in length.

Step 21 | Remove Daughterboard

Step 21 image

Disconnect and remove the daughterboard.
