Samsung Galaxy A03s Screen Replacement

Discharging your battery to 25% or lower is crucial: a punctured battery can catch fire and/or explode.

  • Inspect the refurbished screen with frame preinstalled for included components.
  • Verify that you're using the correct procedure based on the screen's component installation.

US Samsung A03s differs from international versions; be prepared to adapt due to minor differences in components.

  • Remove the battery: if swollen, take necessary precautions.
  • Transfer the battery to the new screen assembly.

Step 1 | Eject SIM card tray

Use a sim card ejector to access the SIM card.

  • Insert the sim card ejector into the SIM card tray slot.
  • Gently push in on the tool to release the SIM card.

Step 2 | Remove back cover

Do not damage the ribbon cable connecting the fingerprint sensor to the back cover.

  • Use an opening tool to gently pry the plastic back cover off, starting with a clip near the bottom edge.
  • Avoid inserting the opening tool too close to the power button, as this can damage the attached ribbon cable.

Step 3 | Remove power button

Locate and remove the 2 plastic notches holding the power button to the back cover.

  • Disconnect the power button from the back cover.

Step 4 | Unfasten screws on camera lens bracket and loud speaker

Remove all 18 identical screws using a Phillips screwdriver.

  • Screws secure the camera lens bracket and loud speaker.
  • All screws are the same size, so no need to identify them individually.

Step 5 | Remove camera lens bracket and loud speaker

Remove the camera lens bracket and loudspeaker using a spudger.

Step 6 | Disconnect battery

Use a spudger to disconnect the battery cable.

Step 7 | Disconnect and remove power button

Disconnect the power button ribbon cable with your spudger.

Remove the power button.

Step 8 | Disconnect and remove mainboard cable

Disconnect and remove the mainboard flex cable using a spudger.

Step 9 | Disconnect and remove antenna cable

  • Disconnect the black antenna cable from the mainboard using a pair of tweezers.
  • Remove the disconnected antenna cable from the charging board.

Step 10 | Remove mainboard and charging board

Remove the mainboard and charging board using a spudger.

Step 11 | Remove vibrate motor

Use heat or isopropyl alcohol to loosen vibrate motor.

  • Apply heat using a hair dryer or a heat gun.
  • Alternatively, soak the area with isopropyl alcohol for several minutes.

Step 12 | Remove volume button flex

Be cautious when using heat or isopropyl alcohol — risk of damage to surrounding components.

  • Apply gentle heat with a hair dryer or use isopropyl alcohol to loosen the adhesives on the volume button flex.
  • Use a soft cloth and mild force to gently pry the volume button flex away from its mounting points.

Step 13 | Remove earpiece speaker

Remove the earpiece speaker with a spudger.

Step 14 | Remove battery

Be cautious when handling the battery to avoid damage or puncture.

  • Apply heat to loosen the adhesive using isopropyl alcohol and a cloth.
  • Insert a thin plastic card under the battery to break loose the adhesive.
