Access the motherboard on a Samsung Galaxy S for removal or replacement by following these steps.
Locate the slit at the bottom edge of the device.
Insert the edge of the spudger into the slit on the phone.
Use the spudger to gently pry the back case off the phone.
Insert the plastic spudger into the gap between the battery and the phone, then pry the battery out by sliding the spudger along its underside.
Unscrew the 6 silver screws using a screwdriver.
Identify the groove between the silver edge and black edge.
Use the spudger to gently remove the grey rubber part (a rectangular component) from the main case.
Insert the spudger into the groove between the speaker and the main case.
Disconnect the white wire boxed in red using a plastic opening tool.
The components may not completely detach from the motherboard initially.
Do not pull on the wires — risk of damaging the connections.
Insert the plastic opening tool into the gap.
