Samsung Fascinate Camera Replacement

Locate the slit on the Samsung Galaxy S's bottom edge.

• You will require a spudger for this process.

Insert the spudger edge into the slit on the phone.

• Pry the back case away from the device.

• Insert a spudger between the battery and the phone.
• Pry the battery out, sliding the spudger along the underside of the battery as you move it.

Unscrew the six silver screws using a screwdriver. If stuck, use a spudger to gently pry them loose.

• Use a plastic opening tool to pry the main case from the LCD touchscreen.
• Insert the thin edge into the groove between the silver edge and black edge.
• Run the tool all the way around the phone's edge until each clip detaches, making a sound as it does so.

Separate the Main Case from the LCD Touchscreen.

Insert the spudger into the gap beside the grey rubber rectangular component and gently pry it free.

Insert the spudger into the groove between the speaker and the main case, prying gently.

• The speaker should unclip from its mounting point.
• It will then be removable by hand.

Use a plastic opening tool to release the black square component, highlighted in blue.

• Pry the camera unit attached to it away from the motherboard.
