This guide is for replacing a damaged Touch Screen / Digitizer or LCD.
Insert plastic opening tool under back cover.
Use a plastic opening tool to pry the battery out.
Insert the plastic opening tool under the back cover.
Remove top cover.
Remove three 3.8mm Phillips #000 screws from both the top and back of the device.
Slide the top cover away from the phone using a plastic opening tool.
Remove the four 3.8mm Phillips #000 screws from the back assembly.
Insert the plastic opening tool between the back assembly and the phone.
Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry around the edge of the back assembly.
Separate the back panel assembly from the main unit.
Insert the pointed end of a spudger into the gap in the round housing frame.
Remove the vibrator cable from the motherboard using the flat end of a spudger.
Disconnect the camera assembly cable with the flat end of a spudger.
Release the camera from its mounting within the square housing.
Position the spudger under each corner ribbon cable.
Lift the ribbon cables carefully to avoid damage.
Remove the motherboard from the frame by lifting it upwards.
Insert the flat end of the spudger between the support panel and front assembly.
Use the flat end of the spudger to gently pry out the headphone jack component from its rectangular housing.
Position the flat end of a spudger between the component and frame.
Locate and slide the ribbon cable under the tan square component.
Insert a plastic opening tool between the LCD and Digitizer screen.
Adhesive material around edge of LCD may cause damage or tearing.
Disconnect and lift the LCD assembly carefully to access the digitizer screen.
