Follow these steps to replace the plastic midframe.
Remove the rear case by lifting it off.
Press the
Release the card after hearing the click, as attempting to push it further in may damage the device.
Remove the microSD card from its slot.
Insert a plastic spudger into the gap between the battery and midframe on the lower left side.
Careful not to damage surrounding components — risk of electrical shorts.
Pry the battery upward by pushing down on the plastic spudger.
Remove battery from midframe.
Remove the six Phillips #00 screws, each with a head diameter of 4.0 mm.
Incorrectly prying at the midframe may cause damage.
Insert the plastic opening tool just to the left of the micro-USB port.
Position the plastic opening tool to the right of the mico-USB port and gently pry open the gap between the midframe and the display.
Locate approximately 2 inches to the right of the volume control and pry the connection between the midframe and the front panel assembly.
Disconnect the micro-USB end of the front panel from the midframe.
