Replace the motherboard with these instructions.
Remove the rear case from the device.
Use the flat end of a spudger or your fingernail to press the microSD card slightly deeper into its slot.
During reassembly, push the microSD card into the slot firmly to avoid damaging it.
Remove the microSD card from its slot.
Insert plastic opening tool into crevice between battery and midframe.
Remove the battery by lifting it out of the midframe.
Remove the six 4.0 mm Phillips #00 screws holding the midframe to the front panel assembly.
Incorrect prying may cause damage.
Insert a plastic opening tool just left of the micro-USB port, prying it gently between the midframe and display to create an opening.
Insert a plastic opening tool to the right of the micro-USB port.
Pry approximately 2 inches to the right of the volume control toggles, shifting them between the midframe and front panel assembly.
Locate the micro-USB connector on the front panel assembly.
Disconnect the headphone jack/vibrator assembly cable with the flat end of a spudger.
Disconnect the front-facing camera cable connector using the flat end of a spudger.
Be cautious when handling the digitizer display cable — risk of damage.
Disconnect the display cable connector using a spudger.
Remove the two 3 mm Phillips #00 screws.
Avoid damaging cables when removing the motherboard.
Use the pointed end of a spudger to flip the tab on the rear-facing camera ZIF connector.
Slide a spudger under the rear-facing camera cable to release it.
Disconnect the rear camera cable from the motherboard.
Be careful not to damage the cable or socket.
Ensure the microphone cover is well seated over a small peg in the display assembly.
