This repair guide covers replacement of the front facing camera/earpiece speaker assembly.
Insert a plastic opening tool or your fingertip into the opening near the left side of the headphone jack.
Remove the rear case by lifting it off.
Press the microSD card gently into its slot with a spudger or your fingernail until you hear a click.
Remove the microSD card from its slot.
Insert the plastic opening tool into the gap between the battery and midframe, just below and to the left.
Remove the battery by lifting it out of the midframe.
Incorrectly prying at the midframe may cause removal difficulties.
Use a plastic opening tool to pry between the midframe and display near the micro-USB port, creating a small gap.
Insert a plastic opening tool approximately 1 mm to the right of the micro-USB port, then carefully pry it between the midframe and the display to increase the gap size.

Disconnect the headphone jack/vibrator assembly cable using the flat end of a spudger.
Disconnect the front-facing camera cable connector using the flat end of a spudger.
Careful removal of the digitizer display cable is crucial to avoid damage.
Disconnect the display cable connector using a spudger.
Remove the three 3 mm Phillips #00 screws.
Avoid damaging cables by pulling the micro-USB connector away from the display assembly.
Remove the 2.3mm Phillips #00 screw that holds the front-facing camera bracket to the display assembly.
Release the front-facing camera bracket screws.
Be careful not to damage the surrounding components — risk of further repair complications.
Use your tweezers or fingers to carefully remove the front-facing camera/earpiece speaker assembly.
