Samsung Droid Charge microSD Replacement
Be cautious when handling the internal components — risk of damage if not properly handled.
- Power down the device completely by holding the Power button until the screen goes black.
- Remove the battery cover and take out the battery to prevent any accidental power-ons during disassembly.
- Pry open the microSD card slot using a plastic spudger or similar tool.
- The microSD card should now be visible — carefully lift it out of its housing.
- Take your new microSD card and insert it into the microSD card slot, ensuring it clicks securely into place.
- Replace the battery and reattach the battery cover.
- Boot up the device to verify that the new microSD card is recognized properly.
Step 1 | Rear Cover
- Locate the groove at the bottom of the phone.
- Insert a fingertip or similar thin tool into the groove.
- Pull upwards with gentle pressure to release the back case.
Step 2 | microSD
- Insert the SD card fully into its metal slot until a click is heard.
- The card will automatically eject upon release.
- Retrieve the SD card.
