Samsung Captivate Glide Camera Replacement

If reset fails, check the camera's connection to the motherboard.

  • Verify that the camera module is securely attached to the motherboard.
  • If damaged, consider replacing the camera.

Remove the back cover using a plastic opening tool or your fingernail.

The cover will pull up and off from its retaining clips.

Remove the battery using a plastic opening tool or your fingers.

Remove #00 screwdriver all seven screws from the backplate.

Remove the back plate with a plastic opening tool.

  • Pry up each side using the lip as leverage.
  • Work your way around the edges once both sides are pried up.

Use the plastic opening tool to release the two retaining tabs securing the motherboard to the phone's base.

Use tweezers to disconnect the antenna cable from the motherboard.

Step 7

Use a #00 Phillips screwdriver to remove the single screw holding the motherboard to the base.

Remove the motherboard from its compartment at the base of the device.

Use the opening tool to carefully lift the camera attachment away from the motherboard.
