Samsung Captivate Glide Camera Replacement
If reset fails, check the camera's connection to the motherboard.
- Verify that the camera module is securely attached to the motherboard.
- If damaged, consider replacing the camera.
Step 1 | Motherboard
Remove the back cover using a plastic opening tool or your fingernail.
The cover will pull up and off from its retaining clips.
Step 2
Remove the battery using a plastic opening tool or your fingers.
Step 3
Remove #00 screwdriver all seven screws from the backplate.
Step 4
Remove the back plate with a plastic opening tool.
- Pry up each side using the lip as leverage.
- Work your way around the edges once both sides are pried up.
Step 5
Use the plastic opening tool to release the two retaining tabs securing the motherboard to the phone's base.
Step 6
Use tweezers to disconnect the antenna cable from the motherboard.
Step 7
Use a #00 Phillips screwdriver to remove the single screw holding the motherboard to the base.
Step 8
Remove the motherboard from its compartment at the base of the device.
Step 9 | Camera
Use the opening tool to carefully lift the camera attachment away from the motherboard.
