Samsung Galaxy Note10+ Vibration Motor Replacement

This repair involves electrical components — exercise caution and follow proper safety procedures.

  • Disconnect the battery connector to prevent any accidental power-ons during the repair.
  • Remove the vibration motor assembly from the device using a plastic spudger.
  • Replace or remove the vibration motor as needed, and secure it in place with screws if applicable.

Step 1 | Heat the rear cover

Step 1 image

Power down your phone completely before disassembly.

  • Apply an iOpener to the left edge of the rear cover for one minute.
  • Alternatively, use a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate, but exercise caution to avoid overheating, which can damage the display and internal battery.

Step 2 | Insert an opening pick

Apply a suction cup to the heated edge of the rear cover as close to the edge as possible.

  • If the rear cover is badly cracked, apply a layer of clear packing tape first for better adhesion.
  • Alternatively, use strong tape instead of the suction cup or superglue it directly.

Be cautious when using superglue as it can damage other components.

  • Pull up on the suction cup with strong, steady force to create a gap between the rear cover and frame.
  • Apply more heat if necessary, especially for older phones that may require extra assistance.
  • Insert the point of an opening pick into the created gap.

Step 3 | Begin to slice the adhesive

Slide the opening pick along the left edge towards the bottom left corner to slice the adhesive.

Never insert more than halfway into the phone, as this may damage internal components.

Leave the pick inserted in the bottom left corner to prevent re-sealing of the adhesive.

Step 4 | Slice around the perimeter of the phone

Continue with the heating and cutting process for each of the remaining three phone sides.

  • Leave an opening pick on each side before moving on to the next, preventing resealing of the adhesive.

The rear cover may detach from the phone as all sides are completed.

Step 5 | Lift off the rear cover
