Samsung Galaxy Note10+ Screen Replacement

Familiarize yourself with the Note10+'s design before proceeding — removal or replacement requires specific steps.

  • Ensure you have replacement adhesives for the back panel and screen.
  • Remove the back panel to access the screen cable.

Step 1 | Heat the rear cover

Step 1 image

Completely power off your phone before proceeding.

  • Apply an iOpener to the left edge of the rear cover for one minute.

Alternatively, use a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate, but be cautious not to overheat and damage the display or internal battery.

Step 2 | Insert an opening pick

Step 2 image

Be cautious not to burn yourself with excessive heat.

  • Apply a suction cup to the heated edge of the rear cover, as close to the edge as possible.
  • Alternatively, apply clear packing tape over cracked areas for better adhesion or use strong tape instead.

Superglue the suction cup only if other methods fail.

Use strong, steady force to pull up on the suction cup and create a gap between the rear cover and frame.

  • If this is difficult, reapply heat as needed for better results.
  • Once a gap is created, insert an opening pick into it.

Step 3 | Begin to slice the adhesive

Step 3 image

Thumbnail 3

Slide the opening pick along the left edge towards the bottom left corner to slice the adhesive.

Do not insert the opening pick more than halfway into the phone or you risk damaging internal components.

  • Leave the pick inserted in the bottom left corner to prevent the adhesive from re-sealing.

Step 4 | Slice around the perimeter of the phone

Step 4 image

Continue with the heating and cutting procedure, repeating for the remaining three sides.

  • Leave an opening pick on each side before moving to the next one to prevent adhesive resealing.
  • Repeat this process until all four sides are separated, allowing the rear cover to release from the phone.

Step 5 | Lift off the rear cover

Step 5 image

Remove the rear cover by lifting it straight up.

  • For reinstalling the rear cover and replacing adhesive, refer to our separate guide.

Always test your repair with a turned-on device before reapplying new adhesive or resealing.

  • When using Tesa tape, consult this additional guide for proper application.

Disconnect the display cable from the motherboard using a spudger's pointed end.

  • To reconnect, carefully align the press connector and press down on one side until it clicks into place.
  • Repeat this process on the other side of the connector.

Avoid pressing in the middle of the connector to prevent pin bending and permanent damage.

Step 14 | Disconnect the touch layer

Step 14 image

Disengage the S-Pen touch layer cable connector from the motherboard using the pointed tip of a spudger.

Step 15 | Loosen the adhesive

Step 15 image

Excessive heat can cause permanent damage to your device.

  • Use an iOpener on the left edge of the display for one minute, or apply heat with a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate.
  • Be cautious not to overheat the phone and avoid applying direct heat to the internal battery.

Step 16 | Slice the left side adhesive

Step 16 image

Thumbnail 2
Thumbnail 3

Apply a suction cup to the heated edge of the display, as close to the edge as possible.

  • If your screen is badly cracked, cover it with clear packing tape for better suction.
  • Alternatively, use very strong tape instead of the suction cup or superglue it in place.

With a strong, steady pull, create a gap between the display and frame using the suction cup.

This may be difficult depending on your phone's age; try applying more heat and attempting again if necessary.

  • Insert an opening pick into the created gap to begin separating the display from the frame.

Step 17

Do not attempt to fully remove the screen at this time, as cables are still routed through the phone's frame.

  • Lift the screen from the top edge of the phone using a gentle lifting motion.
  • Do not lift the screen higher than approximately a 15° angle above the device to avoid damaging cables or other components.

Step 26
