Galaxy J3 Prime LCD Screen Replacement

Step 1 | Back Cover and Battery

Remove the back cover and battery.

  • Set aside the removed components for later use.
  • Ensure all cables are secured to prevent damage during repair.

Step 2 | Loosen Adhesive

Use a iOpener or a hair dryer to heat the screen and loosen the adhesive.

Do not overheat the phone — risk of damage.

Step 3

Insert plastic spudger between phone frame and front display.

Step 4 | Remove Plastic Bracket

Remove the plastic bracket visible under the screen.

Step 5 | Remove Screen

Gently pull up on the LCD screen adhesive to release it.

Step 6 | Remove Housing Screws

Remove screws from the back of the phone frame.

Step 7 | Pull Up Screen

Handle the frame carefully to avoid damage.

  • Pull up the frame using a screwdriver or spudger.

Step 8 | Removing the Motherboard

Disconnect the metal flex cable from the charging port.

  • Remove the Motherboard from the housing.
