Oppo X9000 Vibrator Replacement

Careful attention to instructions is necessary to prevent damage to the phone's components during disassembly.

  • The entire phone must be disassembled for this repair.

Step 1 | Removing the Back Cover

Flip the phone over to expose the back.

  • Pry the back cover up from the top, near the headphone jack and camera.
  • Maintain a firm grip on the edges as you work your way down with your fingers.

Step 2 | Removing the Battery

Hold the phone firmly and use your finger to gently lift the top-right corner nearest to the camera.

  • Continue pressing upwards until the battery is released.

Step 3 | Remove the Back Panel Screws

Remove the 12 exposed 3.6 mm Phillips screws from the phone's rear using a 3.6 mm Phillips screwdriver.

Make sure to store all the screws in a safe place where they cannot be lost.

Step 4 | Remove the Rubber Stoppers

Insert a spudger between each rubber screw cover and the phone's chassis, then gently pry to remove.

Use moderate force, as some resistance may be encountered.

Step 5 | Remove the Newly Exposed Screws

Use a 3.6 mm Phillips screwdriver to remove the three visible 3.6mm Phillips screws.

Step 6 | Lift off the Back Panel

Insert plastic opening tool under the chassis near the power button and pry away.

May require moderate force.

Step 7 | Remove the Power Button Bracket

Insert the sharp end of the spudger between the power button bracket and the rear case.

  • Pry gently at a shallow angle to avoid damaging surrounding components.

Step 8 | Let the Button Fall Out

Rotate the phone to a 90-degree angle, allowing the power button to protrude.

Ensure the power button is safely retrieved and not lost during disassembly.

Step 9 | Remove the Volme Button Bracket

Position the spudger and carefully pry the volume button bracket away from the rear case.

Step 10 | Let the Button Fall Out

Rotate the phone onto its side.

  • The volume button should fall out easily.
  • Be careful not to lose it.

Step 11 | Remove the Black Screws

Locate the two motherboard chips: a larger chip above the battery area and a smaller one below.

  • Remove the three 3.6 mm Phillip's screws.

Be cautious with the small silver metal piece connected to the lowest screw, which holds the WiFi antenna in place; losing it may cause inconvenience but is not essential for phone functionality.

Step 12 | Disconnect the Motherboard

  • Use the flat end of a spudger to gently lift each of the four tape connectors directly upwards from their positions on the motherboard.

Follow careful instructions to avoid damaging the device.

  • Locate the two hidden motherboard connections on the right side.
  • Insert the spudger between the motherboard and connection, then rotate it in a rocking motion to disconnect the cables.

Pay close attention to the guide when removing this connection to avoid damaging your device.

  • Unplug the visible connection on the bottom right.
  • Lift its tape to expose the hidden socket and disconnect it.
  • Similarly, lift and remove the second tape's connection.

Step 15 | Disconnect the WiFi Antenna

Locate the WiFi antenna and gently pull it away from its connector on the smaller motherboard.

  • Pull upwards until the antenna is fully detached.

Step 16 | Remove the Small Motherboard

Start by removing the lower motherboard, beginning at its sides near the charging port.

  • Pry the motherboard gently with a spudger, working it loose from the phone.
  • Continue prying until the motherboard is completely disconnected and separated from the phone.

Step 17 | Remove the Big Motherboard

Remove the motherboard using a spudger.

  • Start at the top of the motherboard and carefully pry it loose.
  • Continue prying until the motherboard is no longer connected to the phone.

Step 18 | Remove the Vibrator

Grasp the vibrator with your fingertips and carefully pull it out.
