Oppo X9000 Chassis Replacement

Be aware that removing the chassis will likely void your warranty.

  • Removing the chassis is a relatively straightforward process.

Step 1 | Removing the Back Cover

Flip the phone over to expose the back side.

  • Use your fingers to pry the back cover up from the top, just above the headphone jack and camera.
  • Migrate downwards along the sides and bottom to completely remove the back cover.

Step 2 | Removing the Battery

Remove the battery from the phone by lifting the top-right corner nearest the camera.

Step 3 | Remove the Back Panel Screws

Remove the 12 3.6 mm Phillips screws from the rear of the phone using a 3.6 mm Phillips screwdriver.

  • Set aside all removed screws in a safe and accessible location.

Step 4 | Remove the Rubber Stoppers

Apply gentle to moderate pressure to avoid damaging the phone's chassis.

  • Insert the spudger between the rubber cover and the chassis.
  • Pry the stopper out of its hole in one smooth motion.

Step 5 | Remove the Newly Exposed Screws

Remove the three 3.6mm Phillips screws using a 3.6 mm Phillips screwdriver.

Step 6 | Lift off the Back Panel

Apply gentle yet firm pressure to avoid damaging the phone or the plastic tool.

  • Position the plastic opening tool near the power button and slide it underneath the chassis.
  • Pry the chassis away from the phone using a smooth, steady motion. Some force may be required.
