Oppo A55s Screen Replacement

This guide covers replacing a faulty screen on the Oppo A55s mobile device.

Step 1 | Remove the back cover

Use a heat mat or hair dryer to remove the back cover, making it hot to the touch.

  • Apply heat until the back cover can be removed.

Step 2 | Remove main board cover screws

Remove 9 Philips head screws from the main board cover.

  • Gently lift and remove the main board cover to access the board connections.

Step 3 | Disconnect battery and screen

Disconnect the battery connector on the right side of the main board.

  • Bend the battery connector away from its socket to prevent reconnection during repair.
  • Remove the screen assembly on the left side.
  • Verify your new screen works before proceeding with further repairs.

Step 4 | Remove the battery

Release the battery by pulling up on the green tape.

  • If necessary, heat the device to loosen the battery adhesive
  • Remove the battery jacket and reattach it over the battery

Step 5 | Remove the screen

Apply heat to the screen to loosen the adhesive.

  • Insert a suction cup, thin metal tool or razor blade between the screen and housing.
  • Gently pry up the screen, being mindful of falling glass.

Step 6 | Apply glue/tape to the housing

Remove any remaining glass shards or adhesive from the screen side of the housing.

  • Apply a thin layer of B7000 electronic adhesive, or use pre-cut adhesive if available, to the screen side of the housing.
  • Insert the new screen into the housing, ensuring the screen cable passes through the opening where the battery was located.
  • If using glue, clamp or secure the frame and screen together with rubber bands for at least 30 minutes to allow curing.

Step 7 | Reassemble

Test all phone functions.

  • Replace the battery
  • Install a new main frame cover
  • Apply new screws

Remove excess adhesive from the back cover to prevent damage.

  • Apply double sided tape or pre-cut adhesive to the frame.
  • Reattach the back cover
