Step 1 | Rear Panel

Press the small power button on the right side of the phone.

Hold down the power button for a few seconds until "Power Off" appears on the screen.
Select "Power Off" to turn off the phone completely.

Step 2

Insert the SIM card removal tool into the small hole on top right corner of the phone, above volume buttons.

If you do not have a SIM card removal tool, use a straightened paperclip or similar instead.

Push the removal tool into the hole and the tray should pop out.
Remove the SIM tray from the phone.

Step 3

When working with heat, wear heat-resistant gloves and place the phone on a non-flammable surface.

Apply slow, even heat from a heat gun to the edges of the back panel.

Do not concentrate heat in one area for too long; it may damage the phone.

Use a Jimmy to test adhesive softness while heating the back panel.
Carefully detach the back panel using opening picks.
Attach a suction cup to the separated back panel once most edges are free.

Step 4

Press the suction cup firmly to the back panel.

Pull up on the panel with the help of the suction cup until completely detached.

Be cautious of reattaching adhesive as you work around edges; lift the back panel before the glue sets.

Step 5 | Battery

Remove the following 7 PH000 screws:

4 longer screws (circled with red)
3 shorter screws (circled with orange)

Be careful not to damage any surrounding components.

Use a plastic spudger to pry the metal cover off, starting from the bottom edge near the battery. Be cautious of the 2 clips located at this area.

Step 6

Power to components will be cut when releasing the battery connector.

Locate the battery connector wire clipped into the motherboard.
Use a plastic spudger to gently pry on the clip, releasing it from the motherboard.

Step 7

Locate the clear tab on the battery.

Firmly grasp the clear tab and pull up and away to remove the battery.

Apply gentle force to avoid damaging the battery.

If necessary, use a black plastic spudger to pry between the battery and phone, taking care not to damage ribbon cables underneath.
Continue to pull slowly until the battery is completely free from the phone.

Step 8 | Screen

This repair may damage or discolour the screen — proceed at your own risk.

Remove all back panel components, including battery and SIM card.
Put on heat-resistant gloves for handling the phone.

Be cautious when using a heat gun to avoid damage or burns.

Use a heat gun to evenly heat the phone's edges, starting with a small section (2 inches long).
Apply heat for 15-20 seconds to ensure adhesive is sufficiently loosened.

Step 9 | Removing the screen

Handling a hot device can cause burns; use heat-resistant gloves.

Heat an edge section using a suitable method.
Insert a jimmy tool between glass and aluminum bezel.
Gently slide the jimmy tool to separate screen from adhesive.
Optional: Use picks to keep gap open, preventing reattachment.
Repeat along perimeter (Steps 1-2) to fully remove adhesive.

Step 10

Remove adhesive and loosen screen.

Plastic pry tool, unclip connector on bottom right of back panel.
Slip disconnected pin through hole in back, freeing screen completely.
