Do not attempt to free the battery from the phone yet.

  • Remove the SIM tray.
  • Using a plastic opening tool, carefully separate the back panel from the main body assembly.
  • Be extra careful around the SIM slot and other weak areas.

Hidden locking clips may cause resistance; move in one consistent direction to avoid damage.

Continue separating the panel, top to bottom, left to right, or clockwise/counterclockwise until it's about half way around.

  • The panel is now easily removable by hand.

Use a plastic opening tool to carefully lift the black plastic cover.

Avoid applying excessive force — risk of damage or breakage.

Once loosened, gently pull the cover away from the device and remove it completely.

Careful handling required: high-grade adhesive holds the battery.

    • Lift the battery from its side opposite the black ribbon, using a spudger.
    • The battery is soft and malleable; avoid permanent damage during removal.
    • Proceed with caution due to adhesive bonding the battery in place.

    Remove the battery.

    • Locate and remove six Philips 00 screws with a length of 3.175 mm, except the one holding the motherboard, which has the same thread size but is slightly longer.

Be cautious not to overtighten these screws, as they may strip the panel threads.

Use a spudger or blue opening tool to pry open the back panel assembly.

    • Remove two hidden Philips 00 screws located beneath plastic plugs. Use tweezers to remove the plugs.
