OnePlus One Battery Replacement
Batteries may be worn out after 7 years, so replacement is recommended.
- Battery replacement kit available from online shops with original design match.
- Disconnect battery ribbon carefully before proceeding.
- Open smartphone and remove motherboard cover.
- Be cautious when removing exposed batteries without a hard case.
Replace old battery with new one by reversing these steps.
Step 1 | Battery
Remove the SIM tray.
Be careful when separating the back panel, as there may be hidden locking clips and weak areas around the SIM slot.
- Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry the back panel from the main body assembly.
- Maintain consistent direction while working around the phone's edge.
Do not attempt to remove the battery at this stage, as it is integrated and can be damaged or destroyed if proper steps are not taken.
Step 2
Remove plastic plugs using tweezers.
- Reveal hidden screws.
- Use a PH #00 screwdriver to remove three 3.175mm screws.
- Continue removing six additional 3.175mm screws with the same driver.
Step 3
Use a plastic opening tool to carefully lift the black cover.
- Gently pry up the cover.
- Remove the cover from the device.
Step 4
Remove motherboard cover.
- The battery is intact, attached via black ribbon to the logic board.
- Lift battery up from opposite side using a spudger, with caution due to strong adhesive.
- Note: Battery lacks hard shell, so be gentle to avoid permanent damage during removal.
Step 5
Remove the battery from its dock using a black spudger.
- (Optional) Disconnect the battery connector for simpler removal.
- Pry up and free the battery ribbon with the black spudger.
