OnePlus Nord Rear Glass Replacement

Replace only with OEM-approved parts and following official guidelines to avoid damaging the display or touchscreen functionality.

  • Begin by purchasing a replacement rear glass specifically designed for the OnePlus Nord, along with the necessary adhesive.

Step 1 | Loosen the rear glass adhesive

Do not touch any sensitive components — risk of thermal damage.

  • Switch off your phone completely.
  • iOpener: Heat it up to loosen the rear glass adhesive. Apply for at least two minutes, ideally at 45°C with a heatbed or repeat several times.
  • Alternatively, use a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate but be careful not to overheat: the AMOLED display and internal battery are susceptible to damage.

Step 2 | Create a gap

Apply a suction cup to the back of the phone near the top-right corner.

  • Pull on the suction cup to create a gap between the rear glass and the frame.
  • Insert an opening pick into the gap.

Step 3 | Slice the adhesive

Slide the opening pick to the bottom right corner along the edge.

Leave the opening pick in place to prevent resealing of adhesive.

  • Insert an opening pick as needed, then remove suction cup if desired.
  • Continue using suction cup for better grip during this process.

Insert a second opening pick under the bottom right corner.

  • Slide it along the edge to the top right corner.
  • If needed, use the iOpener again to soften the adhesive.

Leave the opening pick in place to prevent resealing of the adhesive.

Insert an additional opening pick under the top right corner of the back cover.

  • Slide the tip of the new opening pick along the edge towards the top left corner, carefully cutting the adhesive.
  • Leave this opening pick in place to prevent resealing of the adhesive.

Place the opening pick at the top left corner.

  • Guide the pick along the edge to the bottom left corner, cutting the adhesive.
  • Leave the pick in place to prevent resealing of the adhesive.

Step 7

Insert a fifth opening pick under the bottom left corner.

  • Slide it along the edge to the bottom right corner.
  • Continue sliding until you've cut the remaining adhesive.

Step 8 | Remove the back cover

Remove the back cover.

Allow 3-5 minutes for the adhesive to set before handling the device.
