OnePlus Nord N200 Midframe Replacement

The following steps will show you how to remove the midframe from a OnePlus Nord N200 phone.

Using the suction tool on the phone's rear glass will not work due to its surface.

  • Obtain a thin slicing tool, also known as a Jimmy.
  • Insert the Jimmy into the seam between the rear glass and midframe at the bottom edge of the phone.
  • This may require some force to create a gap. Leave the Jimmy in place for a few seconds to prevent the adhesive from resealing.

  • Insert an iFixit opening pick into the gap.
  • Slide the Jimmy around the phone to slice the adhesive.
  • Insert a second iFixit opening pick at the sliced spot.

Use an iFixit opening pick to carefully cut through the adhesive on the top edge.

  • Pry the back plate away from the phone, starting at the top edge.

Remove the back cover.

Step 5 | Midframe

Remove the midframe using a Phillips #00 screwdriver.

  • Loosen the sixteen 3.6 mm screws.
  • Look for and remove the hidden screw, represented by an orange circle.

Insert Jimmy carefully to separate midframe from top components.

  • Slip an opening pick under midframe edge, slicing adhesive.
  • Pry off midframe using the Jimmy.

Finish prying open the midframe with your hands.

Be cautious when removing the back tray to avoid damaging the fingerprint reader cable, which is still connected.

  • Pull the midframe off the phone and set it aside.

  • Fingerprint connector: Use a spudger to pry straight up from the edge.
  • Move the fingerprint cable and midframe to one side.

Remove the midframe.
