OnePlus Nord N200 Midframe Replacement
The following steps will show you how to remove the midframe from a OnePlus Nord N200 phone.
Step 1 | Back Cover
Using the suction tool on the phone's rear glass will not work due to its surface.
- Obtain a thin slicing tool, also known as a Jimmy.
- Insert the Jimmy into the seam between the rear glass and midframe at the bottom edge of the phone.
- This may require some force to create a gap. Leave the Jimmy in place for a few seconds to prevent the adhesive from resealing.
Step 2
- Insert an iFixit opening pick into the gap.
- Slide the Jimmy around the phone to slice the adhesive.
- Insert a second iFixit opening pick at the sliced spot.
Step 3
Use an iFixit opening pick to carefully cut through the adhesive on the top edge.
- Pry the back plate away from the phone, starting at the top edge.
Step 4
Remove the back cover.
Step 5 | Midframe
Remove the midframe using a Phillips #00 screwdriver.
- Loosen the sixteen 3.6 mm screws.
- Look for and remove the hidden screw, represented by an orange circle.
Step 6
Insert Jimmy carefully to separate midframe from top components.
- Slip an opening pick under midframe edge, slicing adhesive.
- Pry off midframe using the Jimmy.
Step 7
Finish prying open the midframe with your hands.
Be cautious when removing the back tray to avoid damaging the fingerprint reader cable, which is still connected.
- Pull the midframe off the phone and set it aside.
Step 8
- Fingerprint connector: Use a spudger to pry straight up from the edge.
- Move the fingerprint cable and midframe to one side.
Step 9
Remove the midframe.
