OnePlus Nord N200 I/O Board Replacement

Turn off your OnePlus Nord N200 (DE2118) before proceeding, to avoid electrical shocks and damage.

  • I/O Board Replacement is required if the charging port is damaged or faulty, indicated by issues like slow charging, interrupted connections during data transfer, or a loose fitting cable.
  • Identify symptoms of a broken headphone jack: intermittent audio, static with headphones plugged in, or failure to detect headphone connection. For detailed diagnostics, visit our troubleshooting page.

Back up your data before starting the repair to prevent data loss due to unexpected complications.

  • Required tools: precision tools and a new charging port compatible with your phone model (DE2118).

May need significant force — risk of damage or injury.

  • Insert a Jimmy into the seam between rear glass and midframe at phone's bottom edge.
  • Hold Jimmy in place for several seconds to prevent adhesive from resealing.

A thin slicing tool, such as a Jimmy, is required due to suction tool limitations on smooth surfaces.

Insert a iFixit opening pick into the gap.

  • Slide the Jimmy around the phone to slice the adhesive.
  • Insert a second iFixit opening pick at the sliced spot.

Remove the midframe using a Phillips #00 screwdriver. You will need to remove sixteen 3.6 mm-long screws.

Look carefully for an orange circle, which represents a hidden screw that also needs to be removed.

  • Use the Phillips #00 screwdriver to loosen and remove all seventeen screws (including the hidden one).

Step 6

  • Pull the midframe away from the phone and set it aside.

Disconnect the charger to avoid damaging your phone.

  • Apply a spudger/pick under the battery connector's edge and pry straight up.
  • Pry carefully under the connector edge, not the socket on the board.
  • Avoid prying near small surface-mounted components.

To reconnect:

  • Align the connector over its socket and press down with your fingertip-first on one side, then the other.
  • The connection should click into place. Do not force it.
  • On wider connectors, align carefully to avoid pin damage or bending.

Step 11 | Speaker

Risk of damage to socket or board if prying is not done correctly.

  • Place a spudger under the edge of the battery connector and pry straight up to disconnect.
  • Pry directly on the edge of the connector, not the surrounding socket.
  • Be careful not to damage small surface-mounted components near the board.

Risks breaking the socket if lifted improperly.

  • Slide a thin ESD-safe pry tool or angled tweezers under the metal neck of the black coaxial cable connector.
  • Lift straight up from the board, as close to the head as possible.

Disconnect the black coaxial connector first for safety.

Avoid prying at an odd angle — risk of breaking the socket.

  • Use a thin ESD-safe pry tool or angled tweezers under the metal neck and lift straight up.
  • To reconnect, hold the connector with tweezers over its socket and press down gently with your finger or a spudger.
  • If it doesn't snap into place, reposition the head and try again.

Do not force the connector — risk of permanent damage.
