OnePlus Nord N20 5G Battery Replacement

Before attempting to replace the battery, ensure you've tried troubleshooting on the OnePlus Nord N20 5G Battery Not Charging page.

  • Check if your CPH2459 model's battery drains fast or powers off under 30% — if so, proceed with this guide.
  • Be cautious: small parts can break during repair.

Step 1 | Back Cover

  • Insert the SIM ejection tool into the small hole beside the SIM tray.
  • Pull the SIM card tray gently until it pops out, then slide it out for removal.

Heat iOpener in microwave for 30 seconds.

  • If not hot enough, reheat for additional 10-30 seconds.
  • Apply heated iOpener to back of phone for 1 minute.
  • Use iFixit opening tool to pry off back panel along edges.

Remove all 18 x 3.9 mm screws using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

Use the iFixit opening tool to pry the edges of the device.

  • Sweep the tool along all four sides of the frame.
  • The back housing should now be separated from the screen's frame.

Use a spudger to disconnect the brackets from the motherboard.

Remove the tape covering the battery.

  • Pull up the battery using the green tape on its right side.
  • Replace the old battery with a new one.
