OnePlus Nord N10 5G Short Battery Life

Step 1 | Initial Troubleshooting Steps

Press and hold the power button

Make sure your device is connected to a stable internet connection before updating.

  • Navigate to Settings and select System Settings.
  • Check the System Updates section for available updates.

Step 2 | Faulty Charger

Check all connections are securely plugged in, including USB and block connectors.

  • Verify the charging cord for any signs of damage, such as exposed or frayed wire.
  • Replace the charging cord, even if hidden damage is not visible.

Step 3 | Debris Inside Charging Port

Do not spray compressed air at an angle, risk of damaging the phone.

  • Check the charging port for visible debris and gently remove with a non-metallic tool like a toothpick.
  • Insert the bristles of an unused brush into the charging port and move in a circular motion to dislodge small particles.
  • Use compressed air, blowing vertically only, to clear remaining debris from the charging port.

Step 4 | Apps Excessively Draining Battery

  • Download the OnePlus Diagnostic app from the app store.
  • Click the "View Battery Status" button and compare the displayed number to your phone's original battery life.
  • Poor health may be due to excessive battery drain, which can be caused by resource-intensive apps.

    • Determine which apps are draining the most power by checking your phone's app usage statistics.
    • Adjust settings within these apps or uninstall them to reduce energy consumption and prolong battery life.

Step 5 | Damaged Battery

Step 6 | Damaged Charging Port

Replace the charging port.

  • Remove the phone casing using a screwdriver.
  • Disconnect the battery connector and screen cables.
  • Locate the charging port assembly and remove any screws holding it in place.
  • Carefully pull out the charging port and discard the old one.
  • Install the new charging port into its original position and secure with screws.
  • Reconnect the battery connector and screen cables.
  • Replace the phone casing and test the charging port.
