• Insert a SIM card eject tool into the hole on the side of the phone.
• Press firmly to release the SIM tray, then pull it out.

Be careful not to overheat the plastic — risk of damage.

• Use the heat gun to melt the glue on the back cover.
• Also heat the glue around the fingerprint button, if desired (can be done later for easier access).
• Heat the glue for a few minutes.

Apply suction cup to back of device and press firmly.

Be careful not to apply too much pressure which may cause damage.

• Pull on suction cup slowly while
• suction cup adhesive remover tool is applied between the back cover and side of device to loosen adhesive.

Continue removing back cover at a slow pace, taking care not to apply excessive force.

• Grasp a screwdriver.
• Align the tip of the screwdriver with the plus sign on top of each screw and insert it into the corresponding slot.
• Rotate counterclockwise until the screws are loose; repeat this process for the four surrounding the camera lens.

Carefully remove the lens after loosening all screws to avoid damage.

Remove the eleven screws from the back for access.

• Use a prying tool to carefully pry off the mid frame.

Do not touch or poke the battery with any tool.

• Remove the screws from the black cover located under the battery.

• Wedge a toothpick underneath the cover and gently pry it open.

Careful when handling the prying tool to avoid damaging nearby components.

• Pry up the small gray retention clip located beneath the battery.

Locate the two small wires – a white one and a black one – beneath the gray rectangle.

• Pry the gold tips of both wires using a screwdriver.
• Gently lift each wire out of its clasp.

Be cautious when prying, as the left connector is stronger.

• Insert the prying tool into the slot to the right of the charger port.
• Pry up gently until the connection releases.

Avoid damaging the device due to excessive force on the left connector.
