Disconnecting the Battery on the OnePlus Nord CE

The rear housing must be fully reassembled before continuing with further repairs.

Step 1 | Removing the back cover

Do not touch heating elements near electronics.

Apply heat using an iOpener to loosen adhesives.
Lift the back cover with a Suction Handle and use an Opening Pick to secure it in place.

Step 2 | Removing the rear housing

Locate the SIM card tray near the selfie camera, accessible from the top-right when viewing from the back of the phone.

Remove 18 Phillips #00 screws from the rear housing to release it.
Insert an Opening Pick between the midframe's black outer rim and the side rim (same appearance as the back cover), starting near the SIM card or side button cut-outs.
Continue unclipping the rear housing around its edges, carefully unsticking any remaining adhesive.

Step 3 | Disconnecting the battery

Use a Spudger to carefully pry the battery connector upwards.

Ensure that the contacts do not touch each other while disconnecting.
