OnePlus 9 Pro Camera App Unresponsive

If the camera app is unresponsive and displays only a black screen upon launch, proceed with caution.

Determine if the issue is software-related by attempting a soft reboot: Press and hold the Power button for 10 seconds to initiate shutdown, then release it and press again to turn on the device.
If the problem persists after the soft reboot, try clearing the camera app's cache:

Go to Settings > Apps > Camera app > Storage > Clear Cache

Step 1 | Outdated Camera App

Install any pending updates to the camera app:

Google Play Store, select your profile in top corner.
Tap on 'manage apps and device', then on 'updates available'.
Install any pending update for the camera app, then relaunch it.

Step 2 | OS System Needs to be Updated

Ensure your phone's OS is up-to-date, as outdated versions can cause apps like the camera app to fail launch.

Open the settings app and scroll to the bottom.
Tap the green 'about device' button.
On the top of the page, tap 'view updates' within the blue box.
Follow on-screen instructions to install any available OS update.
The phone will automatically restart after completing the update.
Open the camera app after restart.
