Power off your device completely before proceeding to prevent risk of injury or additional damage.
Power down your phone completely and disconnect any cables.
Apply a suction handle to the center of the bottom edge of the rear glass, as close to the edge as possible.
If your display is badly cracked, cover it with a layer of clear packing tape to help the suction cup adhere. Alternatively, you can pull using very strong tape instead of a suction cup. If all else fails, try supergluing the suction cup to the broken screen.
Slide an opening pick to the bottom right corner to cut the adhesive holding the rear glass.
Do not remove the opening pick as this will allow the adhesive to seal again.
Insert another opening pick under the rear glass's bottom edge.
Trouble slicing? Reheat iOpener and apply for two minutes to soften adhesive.
Insert opening pick at top left corner of rear glass.
Insert a fifth opening pick under the top right corner of the rear glass.
Remove the rear glass.
Apply excessive pressure may damage the phone's components.
Remove any sticker covering a screw on the right edge of the motherboard cover using a screwdriver tip or tweezers.
Insert the flat end of a spudger into the center of the motherboard cover's bottom edge.
Twist the spudger to release the tight clips, taking care not to damage them.
Remove the motherboard cover.
Disconnect the battery cable using a spudger to pry the connector straight up from its socket.
Misaligned connectors can bend pins causing permanent damage.
Use a opening tool to carefully disconnect the three camera press connectors.
Disconnect and remove the rear camera.
