This repair guide helps you swap out the battery in your OnePlus 7 Pro smartphone.
Insert a SIM card ejector tool or an unfolded paperclip into the small hole on the left side of the top edge.
Ensure the gold contacts face up and the notch is at bottom right when reinserting the SIM card.

Apply a suction cup to the lower portion of the phone's backing and pull firmly.
Create a crack between the back cover and the rest of the phone before proceeding.
Insert a plastic card or Jimmy tool into the gap between the phone's body and case, carefully slicing along the seam.
Remove the phone's back cover.
Use a pair of tweezers to lift up the black tape covering the laser autofocus and flash flex cable.
Disconnect the laser autofocus and flash flex cable using the flat end of a spudger.
Remove and discard the adhesive cover.
Remove the 14 screws from the upper plate using a PH00 bit.
Use a spudger to disconnect the battery connector.
Be careful of glued parts — risk of damage if pulled too hard.
Calibrate the new battery by charging to full, then keeping it plugged in for 2 hours.
Let the battery completely drain without interruption.
Charge the battery to full one last time without stopping.
