OnePlus 7 Pro Battery Cover Replacement

Insert the SIM card ejector tool or an unfolded paperclip into the small hole on the left side of the top edge.

Press gently to avoid damaging the tray.

Remove the SIM card tray from the device.

  • Orient the SIM card with gold contacts facing up and the notch at bottom right.
  • Reinsert the SIM card by pressing it gently into the slot.

Use a heat gun, hair dryer, or hot plate to lightly heat back edges.

  • Handle hot metal frame with care, avoiding burns.
  • Do not overheat the device - damage risks include OLED display and battery damage from excessive heat.
  • Softening adhesive takes approximately one minute.

Position a suction cup on the lower part of the phone's backing.

Pull firmly to create a separation between the back cover and the rest of the phone.

  • Insert a Jimmy tool, opening pick, or plastic card under the edge of the back cover.

Insert a plastic card or Jimmy tool into the phone's edge and gently pry the device apart by slicing along the seam.

  • Remove the phone's back cover.
  • Use a Jimmy tool to scrape off existing adhesive if replacing with new strips.

  • Proceed with installation of new adhesive strips according to manufacturer's instructions.

Use a pair of tweezers to gently lift up the black tape covering the laser autofocus and flash flex cable.

  • Remove the black tape using a pair of tweezers.

Disconnect the laser autofocus and flash flex cable using the flat end of a spudger.

Remove the adhesive cover from the new battery cover.
