OnePlus 6T Front Camera Replacement

Ensure your phone is fully powered down.

• Position the device face-up on a stable, flat surface.
• Facing towards you should be the phone's rear casing (back cover).

Insert a SIM card removal tool into the small hole on the upper-left side of the phone to open the SIM card tray.

• Carefully pull out the SIM card from its tray.

Apply heat to loosen binding glue with a hairdryer or an iOpener.

• If using a hairdryer, maintain at least eight inches distance and apply heat in circular motions around phone edges for two minutes.

Insert a Jimmy under one of the heated corners of the phone to lift it slightly.

• Insert a plastic card underneath the slightly lifted lip on the back cover and gently glide it under the lifted phone casing.
• There will be some tension, but this is normal as the card removes adhesive within the phone.

Removing adhesive can be stubborn, work patiently to avoid damage.

Remove the back cover from the phone.

• Use high concentration (>90%) isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth to remove all adhesive residue from the back cover and frame.

Remove two 3mm Phillips screws from the phone's battery cover.

• Use tweezers to carefully remove the metal battery cover.
• Set aside the removed battery cover securely.

Remove the midframe mounting screws, eight in total, using a Phillips #00 screwdriver.

Remove the midframe with a spudger, taking care to avoid damage.

• Gently pry the midframe away from the device.
• Once removed, set it aside for now.

• Lift the light brown tab using a spudger.
• Remove the front camera from the phone.
