OnePlus 6 or 6T Alert Slider Cleaning
The alert slider may only register 2 out of 3 positions due to dust accumulation inside the slider.

- Clean the slider thoroughly, as it may appear clean but still malfunction.
Step 1 | The problem
Ensure the slider is in the correct position — issue may occur if only two out of three settings are recognized.
- Check the slider assembly for any blockages or debris.
- Verify that all positions on the slider are functioning properly.
Step 2 | Clean the slider
Avoid scratching the phone's surface.
- Clean the slider side and top side using a small tool.
- A soft-tipped spudger, such as an iFixit spudger, is recommended for this task.
Step 3 | Clean the other sides as well!
Ensure all sides of the component are clean.
- Inspect and clean the remaining two sides with a soft cloth and gentle cleaning solution.
