Inspect the phone's screen for cracks, as a cracked screen may prevent the suction handle from adhering.

  • If necessary, secure the suction handle using strong tape or apply superglue and allow it to cure.
  • Warm the screen by holding the phone until it is warm to the touch.
  • Apply a suction cup to the bottom edge of the phone.
  • Pull the suction cup upwards and insert an opening pick into the gap between the display glass and midframe.
  • Begin separating the adhesive by sliding the opening pick towards the bottom right corner.

Insert another opening pick at the bottom left corner of the phone.

  • Nearing the front facing camera, work with just the tip of the opening pick to avoid damage or smearing.

Insert a fifth opening pick along the right edge of the phone to separate remaining adhesive.

Thread the display flex cable through the gap in the midframe.

Remove the display completely before proceeding.

  • Dispose of old adhesive from the frame using a lint-free cloth and isopropyl alcohol (>90%).
  • If new screen lacks preattached adhesive, secure it with custom-cut double-sided tape.
  • Apply tape to the back of the screen and feed cable through the frame.
  • Align the screen and press it into place.
