High risk of display panel damage if opening procedure is not followed correctly.

Read through these steps carefully before attempting to open the phone.

  • Identify the two seams: Display panel seam (part of display assembly) and Frame seam (plastic frame meets back cover).
  • Pry only at the Frame seam, not the Display panel seam.

Be aware of the twelve clips holding the frame against the rear case when prying off the back cover.

Accidental power-on can damage your phone.

  • Turn off the phone if it powers on unexpectedly.

Locate the bottom edge of the display and position a suction cup nearby.

  • Pull the suction cup with strong steady force.
  • Insert an opening tool near the suction cup, pressing straight into the frame seam.
  • The tool's edge should wedge between the frame and the back cover's lip.

This may require substantial force due to tight tolerances.

Using a new opening tool with an unmarred edge can aid in this process.

Wiggle the frame gently to release the top and right edge clips.

The back cover is still connected by a flex cable, do not remove it yet.

  • Test your phone's functionality before proceeding with reassembly.

To prevent damage, ensure the top edge clips are aligned and seated properly before securing the back cover.

  • Align the top edge of the frame to the back cover.
  • Squeeze along the long edges to snap the remaining clips into place.
