Continue sliding the opening tool along the long edge, releasing clips as you go.

Bend the bracket to spring the other end into place when reinstalling.

Remove the loudspeaker.
Make sure the display cable connector under the loudspeaker assembly is still securely fastened during reinstallation.
Use the point of a spudger to pry up and disconnect the interconnect flex cable from its socket.
Peel the green pull tab away from the battery.
Be cautious when handling the phone frame — risk of damage if dropped.
Remove the battery.
Do not reuse a bent or stressed battery as it poses a potential safety hazard.
