Insert a SIM eject tool, bit, or straightened paperclip into the hole between the SIM card slot and power button.

Slide the opening tool along the bottom edge of the phone.

Keep the tool's edge within the seam to avoid damaging the surrounding components.

• Guide the tool around the left corner of the phone while maintaining a smooth motion.

Continue sliding the opening tool along the long edge, releasing clips as you go.

The last clip near the alert switch may be recessed; use patience and a flat-ended spudger or opening pick for assistance.

Wiggle the frame gently to release the top and right edge clips.

• Lift the screen up and remove it.

Test your phone's functionality before securing the back cover during reassembly.

• Align the top edge of the frame to the back cover.
• Ensure the top clips slip into place.
• Squeeze along the long edges to snap the remaining clips into place.

Insert the spudger under the antenna interconnect cable and gently pry up to release its connection with the daughterboard.

Remove the two 3 mm black screws and five 2.9 mm silver screws holding the daughterboard in place.

• Identify the correct screws by their length and color.
• Use a screwdriver with a suitable tip size for each type of screw.

Locate the plastic clips holding the daughterboard in place.

• Insert the flat end of a spudger under the loudspeaker vent.
• Gently twist the spudger to release the daughterboard from its clips.

Remove the daughterboard.

• If not clicking into place easily, check for trapped flex cables or antenna cables.
