This repair guide is for replacing the NFC board in a Nexus 5 device.
Remove the back cover by prying clips on top and sides with a plastic opening tool.
The back cover has three snaps, two of which must be secure for proper function: one is located near the flash window.
Remove six 4.0 mm Phillips #00 screws securing midframe.
Pierce through clear adhesive if necessary to access daughterboard cover screws.
Ensure these snaps are securely connected to prevent damage to the NFC and wireless charging antenna contacts on the motherboard.
Disconnect the battery connector with the flat end of a spudger.
Disconnect the battery before proceeding for safety.
