This repair guide is for replacing the battery in your Nexus 5.
Prying around the SIM card slot and volume controls can cause damage due to thin plastic.
Remove the six Phillips #00 screws (4.0 mm) securing the midframe.
Retain all six screws, as they hold the midframe securely to the motherboard.
Remove the midframe from the phone.
Disconnect the battery connector with the flat end of a nylon spudger.
Disconnect the daughterboard ribbon cable using the flat end of a spudger.
Then, gently pull the cable away from the battery.
Never puncture or bend the battery — risk of damage.
