LG X Power Screen Replacement (with Frame)
This guide explains the process for replacing the LCD screen in an LG X Power device.
Step 1 | LG X Power Disassembly
Insert a plastic opening tool above the AUX jack and slide it around the perimeter to release the back cover.
Step 2
Remove all 12 2.5mm Phillips #0 screws from the phone's back.
Step 3
Insert the plastic opening tool under the mid-frame and pry upward to hear the click.
- With the tool still in place, work your way around the perimeter.
- Continue prying until the mid-frame is completely free from the smartphone.
Step 4 | Battery
Disconnect front camera and rear camera from the motherboard using the flat end of a spudger.
- Pull the cameras out to remove them.
Step 5
Disconnect the battery from the motherboard using the flat end of a spudger.
This is a disconnect operation only; no parts are being removed.
Step 6
Insert plastic opening tool beneath motherboard, then pry upwards.
Step 7
Be cautious when prying up the battery as there's strong adhesive on its back.
- Use a spudger and a plastic opening tool to carefully pry up the battery.
Step 8 | Screen
Peel off the glued vibration motor carefully with a plastic opening tool.
Step 9
Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry off the ear speaker.
