LG X Power Charging Port Replacement
Replaces the charging port in an LG X Power smartphone.
Step 1 | LG X Power Disassembly
Insert the plastic opening tool near the AUX jack and work it around the edges to release the back cover.
Step 2
Remove the 12 x 2.5mm Phillips #0 screws from the back of the phone.
Step 3
- Insert a plastic opening tool under the mid-frame, and pry upwards until you hear a click.
- Continue working with the tool to release the mid-frame from the surrounding area of the smartphone.
Step 4 | Charging Port
- Disconnect the front camera from the motherboard using a spudger.
- Repeat for the rear camera.
- Pull both cameras out to completely remove them.
Step 5
Disconnect the battery from the motherboard using the flat end of a spudger.
You are only disconnecting the battery; do not remove it.
Step 6
Insert plastic opening tool under motherboard, then pry up.
Step 7
Remove the MicroUSB charging port from the motherboard using a desoldering wick and a soldering iron.
