LG X Power Battery Replacement
To repair an LG X Power with a faulty battery, follow these steps.
Step 1 | LG X Power Disassembly
Insert a plastic opening tool above the AUX jack and slide it along the edges to release the back cover.
- Pry the back cover open with care, taking your time.
Step 2
Remove the 12 x 2.5mm Phillips #0 screws from the back of the phone.
Step 3
- Place a plastic opening tool under the mid-frame and pry upwards until you hear a click.
- Continue to use the plastic opening tool to work your way around the perimeter, separating the mid-frame from the smartphone.
Step 4 | Battery
Disconnect the front camera and rear camera connectors using the flat end of a spudger.
- Pull out the front camera assembly.
- Pull out the rear camera assembly.
Step 5
Disconnect the battery using the flat end of a spudger.
Note: This is a disconnection operation, you are not removing any components.
Step 6
Insert a plastic opening tool underneath the motherboard.
Pry the motherboard upwards to release it.
Step 7
Strong adhesive may prevent easy removal.
- Use a spudger and a plastic opening tool to carefully pry up the battery.
