Disassembling LG Vortex

Turn the phone off by pressing and holding the power button located at the top.

• Power button can be found on the top edge of the device.

Locate the two thumbnail ridges on the side and top edges of the phone.

• The first ridge is adjacent to the micro SD slot, while the second is at the top edge of the phone.
• Use a blue plastic opening tool to carefully pry the back cover away from the rest of the phone.
• Remove the back cover and set it aside.

Use the blue plastic opening tool to remove the battery.

Be aware of the small thumbnail ridge at the top left corner for easier removal.

Set the battery aside in a safe location.

Use a #00 screwdriver to remove all six screws.

• Remove two corner screws from each top edge.
• Remove two middle screws on each side of the phone.
• Remove two more screws from the bottom corners.

Place removed screws in a container to avoid loss or damage.

Use a blue plastic opening tool to remove the back frame.

• Pry at the micro SD slot, pushing the cover away and gently prying the frame loose.
• Work your way around the phone, prying carefully to separate the face from the frame.
