LG Volt Motherboard Replacement

Be careful not to damage any internal components when opening the back housing.

  • Open the back housing to access the top of the device.
  • The motherboard is located at this point, secured by various connectors and cables.

Use your finger to pry open the back cover along the crease.

  • Continue prying until the cover comes loose.
  • Once separated, remove the back casing.

Use your finger to pry the battery out through its designated removal crease.

  • Remove all 11 4mm screws using a JIS #000 screwdriver.
  • Screws are located on top (3), above battery (3), next to battery (1), under battery (1), and at bottom (3).

Use a plastic opening tool to pry off the back housing.

Lift the tabs indicated by arrows.

  • Unplug the cables marked with labels.

Careful handling of the motherboard is essential to avoid damage.

  • Support the motherboard with both hands
  • Lift it away from the base unit slowly and smoothly

Step 7

  • Remove the old motherboard by disconnecting all cables and removing any screws holding it in place.
  • Install the new motherboard into the chassis, ensuring it is properly seated and aligned with the mounting holes.

Ensure all cables are securely connected to their respective connectors on the new motherboard.

  • Reconnect all cables in reverse order of how they were disconnected (step 1 first).
