LG Volt Charger Port Replacement

Locate the crease on the device and use your finger to pry open the back cover.

• Continue prying until you can remove the back casing

Use your finger to pry the battery out of its compartment, taking care to insert it into the removal crease.

Use a JIS #000 screwdriver to remove 11 x 4mm screws.

• The top holds three screws.
• There are also three above the battery.
• One is next to the battery.
• One is under the battery.
• The bottom has three screws.

Remove back housing with a plastic opening tool.

Use a pair of needle-nose pliers to carefully lift the copper tab located on the right side of the device.

Remove the screw (4mm) on the right side under the copper tab using a JIS #000 screwdriver.

• Locate the second screw (4mm) on the bottom left under the battery tray.
• Use a JIS #000 screwdriver to remove this screw.

• Disconnect the white and black cables as indicated.
• Lift the indicated flap as shown.

• Use the plastic opening tool to carefully lift the charger assembly from the phone.
• Start lifting at the copper tab and proceed in a clockwise direction.
• The charger assembly should now be loose; remove it completely from the phone.

Remove and discard the old charging port.

• Install the new charging port according to the manufacturer's instructions.
• Reverse-engineer steps 8 through 1 for reassembly, ensuring each component is securely fastened in its original position.
