LG Volt LS740 Charging Port Replacement
A user discovered that their device's charging port had malfunctioned.
- The problem was identified after troubleshooting.
This repair guide was created due to a lack of available documentation.
Step 1 | Power off and Unplug Phone
Power off and unplug all devices before starting service.
Step 2 | Remove Rear Cover
Locate and press the pry tab, then remove the rear cover using either your finger or a pry tool.
Step 3 | Remove Battery & Sim Card
Identify the screws for the inner rear panel.
Step 4 | Remove Inner Rear Cover
Remove the 11 screws on the inside rear cover using a Phillips screwdriver.
- Reference the photo from the "Remove Battery" step for screw location.
- Use your pry tool to carefully work around the snaps, loosening them before removing the inside rear cover.
Step 5 | Remove Charing Port / Daughter Board
Be cautious of the strong adhesive used on the back of the device.
- Remove the two screws.
- Disconnect the three cables.
