LG V50 ThinQ Speaker & Charging Port Replacement

Flip the phone over.

  • Face the back towards you.
  • Use an opening pick to pry open the back cover by moving it along all sides.
  • Reveal the internal components.

Remove all 12 1 mm Phillips #000 screws from the back panel.

  • Keep screws in a safe location for reassembly.

Remove the brackets to access internal components.

  • Remove the battery connection from the connector port.
  • Pull the orange connector upwards to release it.
  • Use tweezers to carefully disconnect the white wire, pulling up on its end.

  • Similarly, use tweezers to disconnect the dark orange cable by pulling up on its end.

Remove the SIM card using a SIM head and insert into the SIM ejector slot.

  • Disconnect the orange panel from the circuit board, located near the SIM slot.
  • Pull up on the top of the circuit board, next to the CMOS battery, to remove the upper circuitry.

Careful not to scratch the PCB when removing the metal piece.

  • Pull up on the metallic cover piece in the bottom right of the phone.
  • Remove the metallic piece's base from the board.
  • Use an opening pick or spudger to loosen and move the cubic piece.

Locate and remove the bottom circuit board which includes the speaker system.
