Apply heat to the adhesive using an iOpener or hairdryer, moving it in a rolling motion across the phone's back.

Be cautious not to overheat the device.

  • Continue applying heat until the back cover can be easily lifted with an Opening pick.

Take care when prying open the back cover to avoid cracking the glass.

  • Pry the back cover away from its adhesive using a plastic tool.
  • Maintain a steady pace to prevent glass damage.

Careful: risk of damage to either component.

  • Disconnect the fingerprint sensor from the back camera lens cover.
