LG V20 Rear Lens Cover Replacement

This repair guide will walk you through the process of removing the rear lens cover from your LG V20.

Step 1 | Back Cover

Press the power button located at the bottom right side of the phone.

  • The button will release the clamp holding the back cover in place.
  • Once released, carefully remove the back cover.

A charged lithium-ion battery can catch fire and/or explode if accidentally punctured.

  • Discharge the battery below 25% before disassembling your phone.
  • Insert a spudger or your fingernail under the battery at the small recess on the lower edge.
  • Pry up and remove the battery, being careful not to deform or puncture it.

Step 3 | Rear Lens Cover

Apply gentle heat from an iOpener to soften the adhesive under the rear lens cover.

Prying the rear lens cover may cause damage.

  • Use a pointed tool, such as an opening pick, to gently pry up the rear lens cover.
  • Slide the tool around the entire rear lens cover to release the adhesive beneath.

Remove rear lens cover.
